The woolen we used to produce our slippers has many certificates ensuring its safety and high quality.
Mulesing-Free: Mulesing-free means that the wool comes from sheep that have not been subjected to a practice called mulesing. Mulesing is a controversial method of preventing worm infestation (primarily flies) in sheep, which involves removing a section of skin from the tail area. This is painful for the sheep and is often performed without anesthesia. Wool products labeled "mulesing-free" come from farmers who commit to not practicing mulesing and guarantee that their sheep are not subjected to this painful procedure. Woolmark is an international certification that distinguishes products made of pure, virgin wool (wool shorn from living animals). This certification guarantees that the yarn has not been processed and has never been used before. The content of virgin fibers cannot exceed 5%.
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100: This is an international certification awarded to textile products that do not contain harmful chemicals. This certification ensures that our products are safe for children and adults, as well as for the environment. Child-safe and baby-safe: This certification guarantees that the product meets specific safety criteria and standards. These include: the quality of the materials used in production, the durability and strength of the product, the absence of toxic substances or allergens, safe construction elements, and appropriate markings. Human-friendly: Products that meet requirements for flame retardancy, labeling and marking, packaging, and storage. It guarantees the absence of hazardous dyes, heavy metals, phthalates, and other hazardous substances.
