Our philosophy:
From the very beginning, the Happymess concept has been based on accepting everyday chaos. However, we believe that even in this imperfect daily life, we can make decisions that create a better tomorrow and make the next day easier.
That's why for us, sustainability is a natural extension of this philosophy—not an add-on, but part of our way of thinking about design.
We strive to create top-quality products that bring comfort and joy. We choose natural materials—primarily wool and cotton—because we value their durability, softness, and refinement.
As mothers and designers, we ask ourselves an important question:
How do our decisions affect the world our children grow up in?
We create consciously and responsibly. We make decisions not based on slogans, but on what's best at a given moment—for quality, for people, and for the planet.
We're not building a narrative of perfection. We're building a culture of good, repeatable choices and mindful design—without pressure, but with intention.
For us, sustainable fashion means designing things that last. Timeless, refined, made from high-quality materials and with attention to detail. Things that last for years and fit seamlessly into everyday life.
This is how we combine the Happymess philosophy with the practice of sustainability - responsibly, authentically and with heart.
Materials:
Wool is one of our favorite materials. We return to it in subsequent collections because it's natural, durable, and ages beautifully. The wool we use is certified for its quality and safety.
Mulesing Free
Our wool is mulesing-free. This means it comes from sheep that have not been subjected to mulesing—a painful procedure in which sections of the skin are removed to prevent infection.
We choose suppliers who are committed to ethical farming and animal welfare.
Woolmark
The Woolmark certificate confirms that the yarn is made from pure, virgin wool (shorn from living animals) and has not been previously processed or used.
This gives us the confidence that we are working with the highest quality material and that the content of other fibers does not exceed 5%.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
This international certification means that the fabrics do not contain harmful chemicals.
This is especially important when it comes to children's clothing - we can be sure that the material is safe for the skin, even the most sensitive ones.
Safe for children and babies:
This certificate confirms that the product meets certain safety standards regarding:
- quality materials
- durability and strength
- lack of toxic substances and allergens
- safe structural elements
This allows parents to be sure that they are choosing a product that is safe for their children.
Human friendly:
This marking confirms that the product meets requirements regarding, among others, flame retardancy, labeling, packaging and storage.
It also guarantees the absence of hazardous dyes, heavy metals, phthalates and other potentially harmful substances.
Production:
We plan our collections carefully—we estimate numbers, analyze real needs, and instead of producing excess, we focus on carefully considered series and restocks. This allows us to respond to your needs while avoiding unnecessary overproduction.
We create in series that make sense—both for you and for the environment. We believe that responsibility isn't about speed, but about balance: between accessibility and prudence, between planning and flexibility.
We work with proven production partners, building long-term relationships based on trust and quality. We prioritize a transparent process and control over every step—from yarn selection to final finishing.
We produce as much as has a realistic chance of finding a place in someone's daily life. Because for us, responsibility is not just about materials, but also about deciding on quantity.
The vast majority of our products are manufactured in Poland. The rest are created in collaboration with selected partners in other European countries.
Our proximity to production allows us to ensure quality, maintain constant contact with our craftsmen, and truly control every stage of the collection's creation. We believe that responsibility begins with relationships—with the people we work with and the places where our products are made.
Why do we love merino wool?
Merino wool holds a special place in our collections. We return to it because it combines comfort, functionality, and naturalness.
Why do we choose it?
– has thermoregulatory properties, warms on cold days and protects against overheating on warmer days
– it is biodegradable and environmentally friendly
– has antibacterial and self-cleaning properties, often it is enough to air it out, it does not require frequent washing
– is resistant to the absorption of odors and dirt
– has natural UV protection, which provides additional safety when playing outdoors
It's a material that works with the body—not against it.
